Eh, the world is gonna end at one point or another. No sense in worrying about when. I'd rather not know when it happens since everyone else these days would panic.

That and fact Dec 21 (any year) is the shortest day of year, Solstice, and is the end (and beginning) of a year!
FYI: Christmas is actually a pagan holiday, as the Christ's true b-day is unknown, so why now make it the "birth" of the new year HIS birth?
