From Atlus, I just bought a new RPG that has had similar attributes between Final Fantasy Tactics, and Disgaea put into one polished game.
Gungnir is a game that is both dark and romantic as you go through the story based on the decisions you make throughout the plot line. I have only made it to the 3rd mission, but the story reaches its first climax when the hero of the story is about to perish inevitably at the hands of a more superior foe. Because of his will to fight, he is chosen by the will of Gungnir. The spear of legends, normally wielded by the hands of gods, chose a mere human in his struggle to turn the tide of humanity vs humanity.
